In addition to our home groups, we have intentional ministries for both men and women. Our men's and women's ministries are different (cause let's face it, we're a little different), so take a look at the ministry descriptions below and connect with our office at 805-688-5171 to get plugged in.
Our desire is to provide women with opportunities to grow close to the Lord, their families, and each other through prayer, Bible study, service, fellowship and outreach. Opportunities for fellowship and relationship building are available through specially announced meetings and theme events. A foundation of the Women's Ministries is Bible study. There are a couple, ongoing studies open to all women: Thursday Morning book or bible study, 8:45-11:30am which meets at a home in Santa Ynez. Childcare is available. Contact Suzanne Marshall for info. Thurs Morning Study at 6:00am led by Deby Geiger at Ellen's Restaurant in Buellton. Our women's ministry also serves the church by meeting the needs of sick and grieving families with meals and other services.
Men's 212 Ministry is a once a month multi-church gathering of men. 212 meets at 3849 Roblar Avenue in Santa Ynez. Each gathering you can expect a hardy meal, great speakers, and time to connect with and meet other men who are seeking to know and follow Christ. To learn more about 212 and get on the email reminder list, contact our office.
The Bible clearly states "ALL have sinned." This means each of us needs repentance and recovery from hurts, hang-ups, and bad habits in order to live our lives the way God intended.
SET FREE is a Christ-based ministry that addresses all types of recovery. We need God to help transform our issues into something beautiful that He can use to set us free and glorify His Kingdom.
The solution is to start making wise choices NOW and to depend on Christ's power to help make lasting changes in our lives.
SET FREE is open to all in the valley and meets Thursday evenings at 6:30pm at the SYV Christian Academy Library, 891 Refugio Rd. (across from the SY High School).
Contact us if you have questions or just show up!
We will be happy to see you!
