Safety Protocols
Valley Christian Fellowship has a policy to ensure a safe and secure environment for children and volunteers.
01.
All those working with children must turn in an application, submit to a background check, & meet with a ministry leader.
02.
References are checked for all leaders who have attended VCF for less than six months.
03.
No person is to be alone with any child except their own.
04.
Each classroom has a window or open door. Coordinator, director, and Elders may look in on classes at any time.
05.
We pay close attention to allergies and work to not serve snacks with common allergens. (Signs will be posted if allergens are present)
06.
The dignity of every child is respected.
07.
We maintain adequate leader to student ratios.
08.
We maintain open communication with parents.
09.
If a younger child goes to the bathroom, a leader will wait outside the door. If a child needs assistance, the door is left open.
10.
Elementary children may go to the bathroom with a buddy, but a leader is to watch them go and return.
