Start Serving Today!
As we continue to grow together both in our faith and our family, we’re excited to invite you to be a part of our mission to serve and strengthen our church community. We believe that each of us has been blessed with unique talents and skills, and now is the perfect time to put them to good use!
Whether you have a passion for teaching, enjoy welcoming others with a smile, love working behind the scenes, or have specialized skills in areas like tech, music, or event planning, your gifts can make a real difference in our church.
Serving Opportunities
Children's Ministry
Newborn through 5th grade. Our classes are broken down by age so each child can learn at their own level. VCF is blessed with amazing godly leaders who provide excellence in sharing God's love and truth. Teachers often teach once a month (or more if you would like), and the curriculum is provided for you.

Worship Ministry
Worship provides us with a connection to our good and beautiful God. Sometimes the music is fast and loud, other times it is quiet and meditative. Do you sing, play an instrument, know how to work the sound board?

Hospitality
Our hospitality team are the first contacts to new people to our church. They help us welcome people coming to the church by setting up a warm and inviting atmosphere. Each week we put out coffee and refreshments that encourages people to hangout and socialize.
Ushering
A church Usher is a person who helps ensure a smoothly-run church service and who ministers to people in a variety of practical ways. As the churchgoers arrive, the Ushers will act as doorkeepers, greeting each person with a smile, assisting people with special needs, collecting the Offering, and help to serve Communion. Ushers stand ready to assist anyone in the congregation who might need help, to aid latecomers in finding a seat, and to inform those in the sanctuary of any urgent matters. Church Ushers are also well-versed in emergency procedures. In case of an emergency, the Ushers will take the lead in getting people to safety in an orderly manner.
Greeting Team
Help us put our best foot forward and ensure every person who comes to our church feels welcomed, loved and a part of our Church Family. Our church greeters are often the first person a visitor to a church will meet. Just like in the building of all relationships, the first impression a greeter makes has an impact on the perception of a church. Church greeters, like Ushers, help newcomers find their way to the church sanctuary or to a specific children's ministry classroom.
Safety Team
The general duties of the safety team are to create and maintain a high level of awareness of safety for our congregation. Safety Team members are always on duty in parking lot and courtyard during the Church Service.
Care Team
Our goal is to make life easier for those hurting or have experienced a loss, and to truly be the “hands and feet” of Christ by actively serving with purpose. Some ways we help: send cards, make hospital or home visits, arrange for someone to clean a person's house or to provide necessary yard maintenance, drive someone to a doctors appointment, etc.
Social Activities and Events
Plan fun ways for our church members to be together to form deeper connections within our community. The Social Team plans and runs events, recruits people to help with events, and is responsibility for setup and cleanup. Events include activities like carnivals, baptisms, pot-lucks, game nights, Holiday parties, and worship nights.
Meal Ministry
The meals ministry is an excellent way to serve others, share Jesus, and make a difference in someone’s life. The purpose is to help someone in need by providing a ready-made meal. In times of need, it is an incredible blessing to see a friendly face and receive a meal. We serve families and individuals in times of need, after the birth of a baby, after surgery or hospitalization, or during times of crisis.
