Awana

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.

SYV Christian Academy

Awana is for ages 3 years through 6th grade, this includes kids who go to church and for those who are not currently in a church. Awana's Mission & Prayer is that we will reach children throughout the world and teach them to Love, Know, and Serve the Lord Jesus Christ. We do this through fun games that teach kids team work; provide exciting and interactive Bible lessons, and do special projects throughout the year. Kids earn awards for Bible scripture memorization.

Awana's Mission

Awana's mission is to help kids feel valued, grounded in faith, and equipped to live it out. Through caring leadership and a strong foundation in God’s word, Awana helps kids not only believe in Jesus but also become lifelong disciples. We focus on three key pillars:

Belong —

In Awana, every child matters. Through loving, caring relationships with adults, we want kids to feel a deep sense of belonging. When a child looks at the church, it should say, “You belong here,” and through our actions, they should see Jesus. This sense of belonging opens their hearts to hear God’s word and trust Him.

Believe —

Our ministry is deeply rooted in Scripture and the power of the Gospel. We want children to know they can count on Jesus and the work He accomplished on the Cross. By emphasizing the Bible as the foundation of their worldview, we help kids understand that Jesus loves them and gave His life for them.

Become —

Faith isn’t just learned — it’s lived. Our goal is to help kids move from simply knowing about God to applying their faith in real life. As a “becoming” church, we walk alongside children as they navigate life, helping them grow into resilient Christ-followers who won’t break under the pressures of a shifting culture.
