Valley Student Ministry

Mexico Missions Trip

Rosarito, Mexico June 11-16

The VSM High School Group is planning a missions trip to Mexico. We are partnering with Kids Around The World to build a playground for a church, and lead fun Bible Studies for kids in the neighborhood.

What Will We Do?

1) Build A Playground for a Local Church Plant

We will be funding and building a top-quality playground to partner with a church and serve the kids in the community and start a children’s ministry.

2) Lead Bible Events for Kids (“Kid’s Story”)

We will be organizing teams to lead bible studies and activities around the church neighborhood. This will involve games, skits, and leading discussions with children.

3) Grow in Faith Together

Come be a part of a community living on mission. We will discuss and debrief the various challenges faced on the trip.

Here is the agenda:

Depart from church, drive to Rosarito. Stay at “Kingdom Builders” Ministry facility in a safe hotel-type facility.  (kingdombuildersministry.net)

Monday-Wednesday: Work on playground,  and  run “Kid’s Story” events in the neighborhood.

Thursday: Dedicate the playground with the church and explore the area for team-building fun and future ministry ideas.

Friday: Travel home

The Sign-Up Process

Who Can Attend? Applications for the trip are open any high school students and their parents. Spots are limited to 30 people.

Fundraising Goal: $725 per person. Students must raise at least %50 of their funds through support letters or personal work. We want students to learn how to raise support like a missionary. $400 of each person’s fundraising is for the playground we will be building for the church plant in Mexico. $50 goes toward Kid Story Materials.
