Nursery
Loving and secure care is provided for precious little ones aged birth to 24 months. All of our Nursery workers are regular VCF attendees whose backgrounds have been cleared. Toys are age-appropriate and soothing Worship music is played. New families would check in at the KidVenture Welcome Station.
preschool
Children enjoy coming to church and learning in an environment that is safe, loving, fun, and appropriate for their attention span. Our Preschool classes are divided into two age groups:
Preschool 1(2 & 3 year olds): We present basic Biblical concepts through teaching cards, activities, music and games using the AWANA Puggles curriculum.
Preschool 2 (4 & 5 year olds): Weekly activities include songs, Bible stories from the AWANA Cubbies curriculum, and snacks. All are meant to reinforce the spiritual truths.
k-1st grade
K-1st graders are welcomed into a loving environment with dedicated and nurturing leaders and experience a time of play and fellowship, a circle time with interactive lessons, games and crafts that reinforce the lesson, and have a memory verse activity.
The curriculum is a two year plan by David C. Cook called "Bible in Life" focuses on four basic goals: connect, teach, apply, motivate.
At VCF, we believe Scripture teaches that parents are the primary spiritual leaders for their children, and so provide tools to help parents in that important endeavor. Each quarter, students bring home a page that introduces parents to that quarter's teaching. Each week, students bring home pages that they worked on and are encouraged to discuss what they learned with their parents.
Elementary
Our elementary kids recently completed an overview of Scripture with"What's in the Bible?".
Our 2nd-5th graders are embarking on a three year journey using
"Explore the Bible: Kids", which helps make the Bible come alive with historical context,
engaging activities, interesting video clips, and explains how different portions
of Scripture connect with other portions so students can better understand God’s Word.
Kids in 2nd-5th grade are able to attend Kids' Kamp-In in the spring (fun annual overnight event).
Summer and Winter camps available for 3rd-5th grade.
